Can anybody tell me when the last release occurred? I keep going to their web site and seeing the same sets listed as "sculpture in progress" or whatever, without any updated info or photos. Seems to me the entire process has stalled – for like a couple of years now. |

According to this fantastic site …. No LINK – link |

I am going to say that they have. The last update to their 1/72 French line has an update dated 4/30/16. Which is sad. They did the same thing with their 28mm range. They let it whither and die on the vine. |

The rumor is that HaT has been sold to the Chinese company that manufactured the figures. If you go to their main page on their website they call themselves Pacific Coast now. Many of us are concerned about figures in the pipeline that may never get released. Their WWII German Limbers, their American Limbers, the line of American Revolutionary War figures and proposed ACW sets. Ask questions on their forum, that may get you an answer. Those sets have been listed in those exact states of development for over a year, which is why I started this thread to begin with. |

Norm, Same goes for the PSR "news." Those Russian infantry have been "sculpting" for well over a year. Still no indication of what figures are even scheduled for that set. The pics show marching, firing line, some advancing, and command figs. Is that going to be all one set? I've been wondering all this time. |

HaT has always moved at a glacial pace. Many of there were have been in various stages of development for several years. |

According to their website, they are still called hat. Some cartoons are due out this year. |

If so, I know one TMP member who will enter deep, deep mourning. |

@Widowson, at the same stage of development for at least two or three years is closer to the mark; I have since given up on them. |

I was a huge fan of the HaT 1/72 Napoleonics but in the end their sculpting size variation killed me. Have moved to 28mm plastics and haven't looked back. |

aren't the British light and heavy dragoons due any day now ?? |
davbenbak | 08 Sep 2016 4:51 a.m. PST |
If only they would finish the French command set for 1805-1812 since their infantry set does not include a flag bearer! Then they can go belly up, sell the molds to the Chinese and live on in syndication. |

aren't the British light and heavy dragoons due any day now ?? Next "new" release. They are currently restocking. It may not be until the end of the year. |

I have seen pictures of the French infantry test shots painted up and understand they arr the next release Patience is a virtue If you look at the size of their range and recent releases you will see they are like a supertanker – everything happens, but takes time |
Widowson | 09 Sep 2016 12:56 p.m. PST |
Thanks for that, Marc. I guess after several years of waiting, my patience wears thin! |

Be brave. It will be worth it. Their light infantry in MAC format are way better than Zvezda |
davbenbak | 10 Sep 2016 8:07 a.m. PST |
Agree with Marc. I have several battalions of French Light infantry and am working on British line and light battalions using their MAC format. Only the fact that I already have so many unpainted HAT figures keeps my patience for running thin. |

It´s three separate sets: Marching, Advancing, Command. It is fantastic and gives us plastic heretics the advantage of choosing poses, just like those who play with metal. |

That was always the PITA about Airfix plastics. To put together one battalion of 20 men with four flank company figures and a command stand, you need about 7 boxes. Once you've repeated this with all the other usable poses in the 7 boxes, you end up discarding half the figures – the ones moonwalking, breakdancing, stabbing at the ground, or doing the yard-of-ale trick with their muskets, mainly. Fun for nostalgia but I like the HaT 1/32 over most others for the reason Texas Jack said. |

Yup, and modern manufacturers have grasped that issue and supply figures in usable poses – so gone are the days of guys poking guns at moles, or skipping playing air guitar. And HaT really stretched the limits with MAC. So one can buy a box of all marching figures. And a separate box of all officer types. Marvellous. Zvezda make/made their sets with (generally two poses marching, two firing/loading and two advancing/charging – then officers). Good, but not quite HaT |
Musketier | 15 Sep 2016 3:01 p.m. PST |
But Zvezda do, or used to, cover unusual periods and theatres, and have the advantage of being, or having been, on the market rather than in some multi-year pipeline… |

Good luck getting Zvezda now HaT have such a large range I am not surprised they rotate in and out. Luckily, they are such good value for money I tend to stock up when I find them |
