I'm trying to identify a cavalry figure that I received in a lot purchase.

On the inside of the rider there is stamped "MFC6", which I believe is a Minden French Hussar (or maybe their French Cuirassiers du Roi based on their hats except these have muskets instead of swords), but I can't confirm it visually as there isn't an image indicated on the Fife and Drum miniatures page.

Can anyone assist? I have 10 of the figures and would like to get a pair of command figures to round out the unit.

Thank you.

They are not Mindens but look like WSS Grenadiers a Cheval. Don't know the manufacturer.

I'm striking out. I've looked at multiple websites and all the Grenadiers a Cheval that I find have swords, not muskets.

The figure appears to be a WSS French Dragoon made by Stratagem Miniatures years ago. I think they were the forerunners to the current Trent Miniatures.

Thanks for the information so far.

I got these guys in a group buy with the group I play with (I'm just starting out picking up figures) so if I have a bunch of mismatched figures I'm ok with it. I'm going to use these guys for a Russian based ImagiNation. I was initially looking to use them as Cossacks or even Tartars (there's a bit of the Ottomans in the mix as well).

Based my review of North Star's website it looks like Trent doesn't have anything that looks similar.

I've got some Hussar's with busbys that are in the same boat (I can't find anything of a similar style).

Any suggestions on something that might look decent with these guys for a command stand?
