Just finished both of them and can say both shows continued being fun tv. Dark Matter legitimately became a better show in the second season, as the actors seemed to get better in their roles and the universe expanded. I cannot say I liked all the new stuff(especially the new big bad threat), but I can say it was good season and that I am looking forward to next season.

Killjoys largely remained the same as the first season, a fun show of watching a trio of charismatic, good looking young people have fun. But for most of the season the story-lines left me cold. It was only towards the end where the show made some important strides in plot and house cleaning, and while I am once more not completely happy about the big bads, the next season also looks promising.

All in all two solid shows to use as a appetizer for The Expanse. Dark Matter right now seems to have the more interesting story, while Killjoys still remains fun.

Both are recommended.

I'd say that Killjoys is a big lead ahead of where it was end of last season. Dark Matter still has two more episodes left to go this year.

oh you are right, for some reason I thought both would be only 10. Oh that is a happy mistake.

Killjoys didn't do it for me last season, it got better?

Dark Matter has been solid pulp entertainment this season. Totally agree on them whetting the appetite for The Expanse. Excited that we get Bobby this season.

I enjoyed both shows and am anxious to see how the final two episodes of Dark Matter plays out. Of course Kiljoys is done for this season.

Like Darkmatter, shades of Firefly, let's hope they throw more money at this show and it goes from strength to strength.

Remember both episodes are on this Friday

Killjoy ended up being a much more serious show then the name and the ads promised. I think it is much improved this season.

I've enjoyed both. I do find it puzzling that Syfy can do decent work when then try but so much still remains dreck reruns, horrid nerd reality TV and intentional schlock such as their made for TV movie efforts.

McKinstry, both are outside productions which might explain things. They are Canadian ones. The land up north is saving Sci Fi on Television.

Yes Killjoys seasons 2 was rather different than season 1.It still keeps the elements that made season 1 special, but made a much more darker turn this season especially in the second half.

Both shows show that some of the good parts of GoT have rubbed off in sci fi, for the better.

Didn't get into Dark Matter last year, but we've enjoyed Killjoys. May need to give Dark Matter another look. Still binge-watching Mr. Robot and Vikings, and working through seasons of Supernatural.

There's three more episodes of Dark Matter.
Two this week and the Finale after the Z-Nation premiere on the 16th.
