yes, but it is ashame that it is locked away in a journal that maybe 32 people have access to.

The author of the article wrote a book on the subject, Napoleon and Berlin, which is quite good and probably more in depth than the article.

I highly recommend it if you're interested in the subject.

Dear Daler240D,

Actually a few more than 32 people have access to the Journal of Military History. It's published four times a year, is widely considered the foremost scholarly military history journal in the world, and, altho I have no dog in this debate, my wife is Managing Editor and yes, I am on the masthead. Two reviews of Prof. Leggiere's most recent Napoleonic book appeared in a recent issue. Articles are peer reviewed, book reviews (some 80 each issue) are written by recognized experts. My own books have been praised and savaged, it's a rough and tumble review process.

Anyone can subscribe.
