Great fun. I never got them…..after my time.

Let me guess. The French lads scaling the roof to the chimney stack.

Sergei Bondarachuk had a cuirassier do that, in full armour, carrying a flag!

What attention to detail here. LHS looks like the real "footprint"….ie massive courtyard. The vegetable garden, the Great barn correctly shorter than now.

The whole thing whitewashed over red brick……obviously right…….(no, don't open that can of worms again)

But I can see what you mean. Helmet, breastplate but it was a white metal cuirasse etc……either way….tough lad to be able to nip up the roof like that!
