Hi I've been researching about Churchill tanks. I'm fascinated by Mr. A.G.Chester's website. Which Is already closed but I can read the logs. So I want recreate Churchill tanks which fought on both Tunisia and Italy. But I can't figure out what color I should use. If my understanding is right, they were painted in SCC No.2 till 1944. So I want paint them in SCC No.2. I found some Vallejo mix but I'm not keen on mass painting with mixed color. Luckily I found "British Uniform Brown(Warlod Games)" spray at my local store. Does this suits for SCC No.2? And one more thing,I wonder how Churchill NA75 tanks were painted. SCC No.2 or SCC No.15? |

Some good actions to refight in Tunisia, where some Churchills sported unique "tiger" stripes on their sides. |

Thank you. I've already checked that site. What make me wonder is….NA75 is upgraded in March-June 1944. But SCC No.15 authorized in April 1944. So….Which one? It could be both? |

Vehicles in for major repairs/overhauls/upgrades would normally have a new coat of paint as part of the package. So if OD was available it would have been used. My guess is that most would be in SCC.15, not sure about the early ones though. |

Thank you for reply. It seems I'm better off paint NA75s with SCC15. And I'm still looking for the paints for SCC2. |

I don't know of anyone who does SCC2 or SCC15 in acrylics. Here's a scan that might be of use. link |

KHAKI GREEN Nš3 (BRITISH 1939-42) Base color for 1939-41 period. Also used during 1942. link |
