This will be the Triumph Saturday evening Campaign game at Fall In:

1240AD Baltic Crusades – The Last Pagan Frontier (Triumph! Campaign)
Theme Game: Yes
Sponsored by: Thistle and Rose Miniatures
Duration: 4-5 hours
Maximum Players: 12 (Pre-registered with Armies supplied) Trying something new this time – See below
Period: MEDIEVAL
Event Scale: 15mm
Rules Used: Triumph! fast play ancient and medieval battles
Event Description:
Vicious raid and counter-raid. Fighting in the middle of winter, when bitter cold freezes the swamps and marshes and makes roads of the rivers. Conquest by fire and sword. Religious fanaticism veiling naked aggression as the Principalities of Poland and Russia fight against Pagans, Crusaders, Mongol Invasion and themselves all at once! Burn at the stake or drown at the bottom of a frozen lake – what's not to like? This will be a Triumph! fast play ancient and medieval battle campaign game. Participants will take one of 12 available kingdoms and fight over a giant map of North eastern Europe for ultimate domination. Individual battles are fought head to head with the winners defending their territory or taking a new vassal!
The rules are easy to learn and will be taught by the GM. The initial 12 armies are provided for the slots in the PEL these will be assigned by random draw at the event. If you have an army for this period feel free to bring it and play with it as we can add another 12 players who bring their own armies! Players can also sign up to play with their own armies via the Triumph! Mailing list through the Triumph site at wgcwar.com

Triumph! rules are easy to learn and will be taught by the GM as needed. Armies will be provided. Young gamers are welcome, but anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. See also the Holy War walk-up Triumph! intro games run (Friday and Saturday mornings/afternoons as an additional option for familiarizing yourself with the rules in advance.)

This event is sponsored by the Thistle & Rose Miniature line and the armies used in this event will showcase those miniatures.

This event will be run Saturday evening.

At Historicon we did not have enough slots for eveyone that wanted to play in the campaign games, so for this campaign we are leaving the max number open ended… if you have an army that fits the theme and the list bring it and we will get you a spot in the campaign.

If you want to play in this event and do not have a suitable army, just sign up in the PEL 12 available slots.

However, for those that wish to play and bring their own army any of the following themed armies are eligible:
Early Polish
Mongol Conquest
Teutonic Order
German
Early Russian
Hungary
Kipchak
Volga Bulgar
Denmark Sweden
Lithuanian
Estonian
Prussian

I will be adding the details for these armies in a separate post.

Looks to be a pretty much straight copy of DBA, with slightly renamed troop types and an added points system.

Khusrau, have your read an early copy of the rules or played the game?
