I would like to paint a couple of units but what figures would you guys use. I assume those guys were a mix and match of whatever was left in the depots, so maybe revolutionary uniforms, bicorns and greatcoats?

I would also throw in a few Prussian Landwehr, particularly if you can swap heads on them to bicornes, shakos or bare heads.

You could do some headswaps on AB figures.
Use the following from AB:
-Put some bicorne-heads on the new French 1815 line infantry in Bardin.
-paint up some French Elite line chasseurs in colpack as Marshall Monecys Guides.
-Use lots of French line in greatcoats and give them all kinds of colors on the greatcoats (Dark green, brown, fifty shades of grey etc..) and paint their trousers in everyting from red/white7blue stripes to dark brown or white.
-Throw in some Vistula lancer figures with chapzka covers as the 9th Lancers in blue with orange facing color).
-Paint up some of the Young Guard in Bardin as Pupils of the guard etc in green uniform.

The Parisian National Guard was certainly better clothed than some provincial units
