Gentlemen, If I am unable to obtain a print copy of Altar of Freedom are there any other grand tactical ACW rules suitable for 6mm out there? |

ACW or SCW? Volley and Bayonet will work for just about anything. |

Volley and Bayonet works nicely with 6mm. You can use full size 3"x3" bases or cut everything in half and play full battled in on a 2'x3' table. |

Not sure about print copies. The AoF rules downloaded easily, were easy to print and read, and then I punched holes and slapped them in a spiral notebook. Pretty painless affair. |

I find Bloody Big Battles works fine for ACW, as well as other 19th century battles. You have to join the Yahoo group to access the ACW scenarios. So far there are First Bull Run, Shiloh (a nail biter ), Gettysburg, Champion Hill and the Wilderness. Scenarios being developed are Stones River, Chickamauga and Spotsylvania. Suggested basing is like Fire and Fury. Cram as many figures as you please. |

mwindsorfw, I have the AOF download but was under the impression that with the "tinted" pages that printing it used an tremendous amount of ink. |

Second idea: keep the computer on when you play, just print out the scenario and reference pages you need. |
