Here is a short video of the table we played on in tonight's Battlegroup Kursk game. It was all tanks, no infantry at all, and just as fun and silly as you would think. 45 Soviet tanks met 30 German. In 6 or 7 turns half on each side were destroyed.

Highlight of the night: A lone T34 leads the charge over open ground against the Tigers. Surviving against all odds it breaks through and get s behind a platoon of Panzer IVs taking one out. At that moment an Ilyusha ground attack aircraft is randomly rolled which is called in to attack the Tigers with the experimental new cluster bombs. The plane misses, hitting the heroic T34 instead, destroying it with prejudice.

Well, that's one way to get a Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumous)

Fun game

Nice looking game. Reminds me of the wall to wall tank games we played in the 1970's!

Nicely done. How big was the board?

Doesn't sound silly at all.

Some of my best battles have been all tank affairs.

Yep, we did stuff like that back in the 1970s, using GHQ microarmor, and Tractics rules.

Great fun!

With a lot of those 70s games,I always got the feeling that you were basically supposed to play them as all tank affairs in any event.
