In Column A:
Peter Pig and Battlefront both make the Char B1 with the big grilles on the side walls.

In Column B:
Skytrex and Gaming Models both make the Char B1 with the loading hatch on the side walls.

Which combination(s) of 1 from Column A and 1 from Column B are the best overall size matches?

Ooarai High School uses one with the grille, and Maginot Academy uses a couple with the side hatch. ^,^

The PP Char is the correct size , made of metal and £6.50 GBP. I suspect the others are the right size too. The PP one is measured from the one in Bovington tank museum (as I expect the others are too?)

Your criteria might be based around what material and what cost you prefer??

Good luck

Martin, I am willing to go with any material, and the price range for these are all fine.

I always presume that Battlefront models will be taller than everybody else's. But the Char B1 might be an exception.

Other Battlefront models I have been able to compare directly stand about 1/32" to 1/16" taller than others. It's often enough of a difference to jump out to my eye when they are near other makes. They do this so their vehicles don't look short next to 18mm infantry mounted on bases. They add the height with oversized wheels and thick tracks.

Ooh, I do have a Battlefront Char B1, here are the measurements that are most likely to have noticeable differences:

* Side piece from track bottom to top of fender = 18mm, 23/32"

* Track length from outer track ends = 66mm, 2-19/32"

If anyone can provide those measurements for the other companies', that would be quite helpful:

* Peter Pig?

* Skytrex?

* Gaming Models?

Thanks,
Mo

The Command Decision (ie Skytrex/Old Glory) CharB1bis is much shorter than the BF one and is inaccurately proportioned.

The Quality Casting one is bigger than the CD one but smaller than BF.

Thanks Leadgend, that makes the Game Models one the likely candidate for the loading-hatch style.

*blush* Ummm, nevermind. *blush*

Wait, what if they just have a big grille on the left side and a loading hatch on the right……

*blush*
