"They Couldn't Hit An Elephant", that is, the TFL ACW ruleset.

Does really good as a multi-player game with a division or maybe even a two-division corps a side, but I'm going a wee bit farther.

I'm going to do Antietam using Scott Munger's OOB and TCHAE for the rules.

139 commander cards representing down to each brigade commander. Multiple tables (empty two car garage) for different times during the day, and around 9,000 1/72 figures in total. 564 Union infantry stands and 307 CSA.

About got the forces assembled and hope to kick off the week of the 11th of September.

How many players? Unless each player has multiple commanders it will be a lot of down time per player.

Sounds nutty to me, but I'd try it…

It sound to me like you are going to cause the rules to break by playing a game it was never intended for. I'm curious to see how it goes and how long it takes.

Oh no, I'd never ask anyone to wait around 3 hours between their card appearance, I'm doing this solo.

And yes, it is pushing the limits of the rules and I fully expect it to take about 40-50 hours of play time to run the course.

In that case, self-flagellation is perfectly fine.

John, I'm sorry you live about 2 hours from me, otherwise
I'd horn in on the game !

You run a great game with very nice terrain and figures.

John Thomas830 Aug 2016 5:31 p.m. PST

Thank you Ed. Ya, it'd be kinda fun to have folks drop in and take a hack at things, but to put in the full effort? Not reasonable.

Actually, anyone in the area interested in having a go on either side, just PM me and I'll make the necessary arrangements (directions, etc).
