Hi guys

A customers has asked me to paint up a couple of test units for an Imagi-Nation army, flags are hand drawn/painted, he wanted a clean parade ground look for these guys, I think they turned out nice, all comments welcome.

Very crisp, tidy-looking fellows!

Did your client tell you the name of his nation?

Exquisite.

Lovely. Those Mindens certainly paint up very well.

They look fantastic.

Love the dapple-grey. Totally hooked on the Imagi-Nation concept. Loads of fun.

I am sooooo very tempted at doing imagi-nation and the Minden figures would work so well. Lovely job on them love the colour schemes.

HANS GRUBER26 Aug 2016 10:52 a.m. PST

Very well done. I love the Mindens, but their long musket/bayonets scare me.

Mindens are done to a 1:56 scale so the muskets and bayonets are true to scale.

The painting is beautiful as are the flags.

My comment/question was about durability, not accuracy.

Hi guys

Yes, they are called The Grand Duchy of Frugelstein, and the bayonets are fine, not weak, but then again I deal with 15mm figs all the time.

Hans Gruber: my Minden armies have been banging around at convention games for about five years, some have even been dropped on the floor by accident, and all have survived without anymore than a couple of bayonets breaking off: about what you can expect for any figure.

That said, you could always start your project using the RSM figures which are exactly compatible and mix the two ranges together.

BTW, that is wonderful brushwork on the figures. I particularly like the drummers with reversed colors and the dapple grey..

Very impressive! Hand drawn/painted flags you say? I'd have to 'run to Warflag' or try my hand w/ my computer.

I agree w/ *21eRegt,

Totally hooked on the Imagi-Nation concept. Loads of fun.
Your possiblities are truly endless.

Every time I see something like this, again I struggle, "do I jump in and start a couple of WSS Imagination armies of my own?"
After all I "only" have my Col. British/Zulu's, the WW II 15mm armor project, oh then theres the dark age imagination army that is in 'need' or a band of barbarians. LOL

Again, your troops look great and the flags 'clear and sharp'. WELL DONE SIR!
