Funny, JCD, I was just coming here to reveal – it is Tango versus Winston, how many posts in one day. Now, if I'm really bored or, just maybe, really interested, I can see myself posting 15 posts in one day. But 47!? That's just plain crazy. Once upon a time John the OFM had a strong lead for the post posts. But no one can give someone who posts 47 times a day (or whatever) a run for their money. And why should they. I was curious to compare so on the given day I looked. 47? Really? Oh, well. To each their own. I guess we're all a little crazy to someone else. |

Ha ha, good one. There I was, trawling the internet looking for the answer….at least I learned a lot about what happened on 23 August… I have to be really interested in a topic to post these days, unless I am curious or have something to offer I just don't bother. |

Ghecko, less bored than annoyed. Let's do a little math here. And be generous – only 30 visits per day and only 5 days a week, that's 150 x 52 weeks in a year. That's 7800 posts a year, let's call it five years worth of posts (no I don't know and didn't check when Tango joined up) That's 39,000 posts. Now, of course Tango can post any thing he wants within the rules. But before he started posting, I'd say 7 out of 10 times I saw a thread of interest I'd open it and there'd be something actually wargame related of interest. But now, it must be 5 out 7 times its a Tango post and mostly its just a pretty picture that just doesn't forward the discussion. Sure, there are some who haven't seen it – but too often it's something all to familiar, at least to me – and some who just enjoy his posts. Their right. But I miss getting to see the posts that forward the discussion about actual wargaming and sometimes it just gets annoying to have to wade through the other stuff. Maybe two or three times – opening what must be by now a couple of thousand Tango posts – there was something interesting to me. But I'd prefer more wheat and less chaff. Just my personal opinion. And, no, it isn't just Tango. In many ways a sort of malaise has settled over TMP in general so that there is much less of interest. Maybe I've just gotten jaded. Who knows. But I'd sure love to encounter more posts of interest to me. But, then, who wouldn't. Just thought I'd have a little fun with my annoyance, nothing more than that. |
