For the 5th year, Woodville Plantation will host this display representing a cross section of the miniatures hobby. On display will be toy soldiers, wargame figures, dioramas, etc in all scales. Nowhere in Western PA will you see a miniatures display of this quality.

It takes place Sunday, September 11th from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Woodville Plantation which is about 7 miles south of Pittsburgh, just off the Collier exit of I-79.

Admission is $5 USD and includes a tour of the house which was built by General John Neville from the Whiskey Rebellion, a great period home. Also, member of the Wayne's Legion re-enactment unit based at Woodville Plantation will be on hand to drill, fire weapons and interact with the public. This is a really nice display of larger scale collectible and wargame figures – many of which are placed on great looking scenery displays. The site where this is held is a great historic site from the Whiskey Rebellion. If you are in the area this is worth a visit.

How many people do you have setting up displays?

There will be 10 displays covering all scales of figures and various periods that highlight British military traditions. Traditional toy soldier displays include a base camp in India, the Trooping of the Color and a Victorian army field day, featuring hundreds of figures. In 68mm, there will be a large diorama of an encounter between British and French troops in North America, utilizing the John Jenkins/ King & Country type figure. In the 25/28 mm range are a Rorkes's Drift diorama, Napoleonic War in Spain display and WW2 Arnhem/ Market Garden theme vignette. On hand will a be a professional figure painter demonstrating painting techniques. And much more demonstrating a high level of military modeling art.
