GW have this on pre-order and it rocks:

It has all the bulk you'd expect from a dropship and with a bit of tinkering could be suitable for many different games.

That's awesome!

(Man, I need to get a job…)

Where does the fuel go? I never liked that these things do not look airworthy.

Where does the cargo go?

Covert Walrus21 Aug 2016 1:24 p.m. PST

"Where does the cargo go?"

My guess is behind those air dam sized doors with the chapter badges on in the front, flanking the chin guns. If it follows typical Adeptus mechanicus design. . . .

I have to say I like it and might have bought a couple if the iconography was separate and not molded onto the pieces. Oh well, there is always the scratch build path. :)

chromedog22 Aug 2016 3:49 a.m. PST

Outside of the Valkyrie, it's the only imperial flier I've liked so far.

Those front hatches look Rhino sized – and I have spare blanks of those, so fixing that shouldn't be an issue.

Filing off the icons (or just replacing those sections with platicard) sounds about fifty times easier than a complete scratchbuild.

Der Krieg Geist22 Aug 2016 10:24 a.m. PST

Because of GW boxy designs even a full scratch build is not too difficult . Maybe I will post som WIPs on some of my projects, to encourage others to see if they want to try their hand at it :)

Mithmee22 Aug 2016 1:29 p.m. PST

Do not like it.

The Beast Rampant22 Aug 2016 1:42 p.m. PST

Please do! I'd like to see your take on it.

Kind of looks like Rocky the Flying Squirrel in an Iron Man suit.

JSchutt22 Aug 2016 2:21 p.m. PST

Is it just me or does it look like it's flying….backwards?

ManofErebor23 Aug 2016 7:54 a.m. PST

Big and bulky--and bad-assed looking--so very typical of the Imperium. Says some nasty folks are coming your way. I'll need at least one for my Deathwatch team.

Pictors Studio23 Aug 2016 11:56 a.m. PST

I'm with Chromedog on this. Although I do like the Space Wolf flyer too.

Lion in the Stars23 Aug 2016 12:10 p.m. PST

That's actually not too bad a flyer for a GW product. Still not likely to get me to buy one, unless hell freezes over and I find one for dirt cheap.

chromedog24 Aug 2016 2:29 a.m. PST

@Pictors: I'm not a fan of the flying dogbox they gave to the fleabags, either.

The navy fliers that FW do aren't too bad, either.

just way out of the pricerange I'm willing to spend.

Lion in the Stars24 Aug 2016 11:12 a.m. PST

Surprisingly, this one is "only" 40gbp. That's about $55. USD Still pricey, but I dropped 100GBP on one of Antenociti's dropships.

Where does the fuel go?

Inside the wings and on the sides of the cargo bay, like most aircraft.

It's a Space Marine aircraft! It don't need no fuel; it's powered purely by spite and malice.
