Hello. I'm looking for a figure as above resting or leaning on their bill/pike or similar . Or better yet, a whole bunch of them. Theres plenty of billmen or similiar for the period but all the ones Ive seen are a bit too energetic- waving their weapon around and running about a lot. I need some chaps standing still, capable of standing guard or on sentry duty. And occasionally using their polearm as support for upright snoozing… Anything like that available? |

Some of the "old" Foundry Renaissance pike sets were in a "just standing around" pose but I could not find them listed in the current Foundry ranges. You could always contact them directly about the figures. Jim |

If you are thinking of the Landsknechts, they can still be found here: link However, in most cases the pikemen in a single pack are just variants of the same figure with different heads. For late 15th century, the Perry figures linked by idontbelieveit should be a pretty decent choice, and the Perrys might have a few other packs that could work for the role, too. |

You can convert the Perry plastic WOTR figures fairly easily into poses standing with a bill by drilling the archer hands, the Ansar set has a good selection of hands that can be drilled too though you'd need to add a sleeve with a bit of green stuff. |

Check out Warlord Games. They distribute figures that meet your described needs that previously were manufactured by Pro Gloria Miniatures. There are bills/pikemen standing, leaning, and one chap sleeping, held up by his bill/pike. If you want more miniatures full of character, check out the Lead Adventures Bruegelburg range. |
