The first thing is that if you're going to send me hate mail, consider whether I even know who in the world you are.

Hate mail from some random person, which may or may not be a fake name, just makes me smile. Sorry, but I think it's funny.

Hi Bill. That is the price of wargamers being a cross section of society. You get the "strange" and they seem to have a bigger /louder voice than the well mannered. I get sniped at by the mad hater, but they do tend to move on at some point (hopefully).

I've been coming to TMP for a whole lot of years, and I keep coming back. Why? Because you have a tremendous site for information of all kinds about our hobby. I can ask questions for information I need, and someone always offers to help. Sometimes I'm even in the position to offer something to answer someone else's questions. It's a clearinghouse for information about new products, kickstarters, and deals of all kinds. I can see sample battles and campaigns others have conducted, I get a peek into conventions I'm unable to attend. People throw around new ideas about rule making that spur my own ideas. I get to see the incredible talent others show in their ability to paint armies and to construct imaginative terrain, scenic, and buildings. In short, I can indulge every facet of my hobby here.
When there are posts or posters I'm not interested in, I ignore them. I don't take people's venom seriously, because if they're rabid about something, it's their issue, not mine. I view it as though we're all at an "open house" cocktail party at your place, and are expected to behave accordingly, or we'll be asked to leave. Why would a guest expect anything else?
I'll keep coming back. Keep up the good work. You provide a place for us all to exchange ideas, get/give information, and most of all, have more fun in our hobby. Thanks for being willing to do that, even if it means putting up with the nonsense some people throw at you.

To participate in this hobby you have to be at least a little eccentric. Some people, sometimes, just don't know where to draw the line.

Bill on a recent news report, they noted that unexpected consequence of the "internet" is cyber-bullying and the "T" word, i.e. ing. We have all seen this here on many occasions. And may have been victims of it.

Unfortunately it may take sometime for the law to effectively catch up with this sort of thing. But regardless, these types who hide behind the vail of the net with a screen name, etc., … To be rude, divisive, insulting, etc., says more about them than the "victims" … They are weak, immature, insecure, etc., sad little people who really don't get it … about being an adult in the 21st Century. Even on a site that is about playing with toy soldiers.

I think you should copyright wise anvil hat and get a new avatar showing it.

I had a customer who would email me every April to tell me how awful my products were. Ignoring him finally worked…after five years. You, on the other hand, have found a way to use them for entertainment.

Again … On the news last night they were talking about this "phenomena" with the advent of the internet and social media, etc., … That the "CD" was "cyberbullying", harassment, and the deadly "T" word ( ), etc., …

The "shrinks" said these people have no empathy … I just think they can hide behind the ether of the net and just be hurtful, hateful, annoying, etc., . I as well as Bill have been attacked a number of times by these . They really need professional help. This type of thing is not adult behavior.

They related an incident about this in the discussion last night. That the one African-American Actress in the new Ghost Busters movie. She was verbally attacked with such vitriol, degrading, demeaning, etc., comments. She was very upset, hurt, etc. … And as I said before, that sort of behavior is not something one would expect from e well rounded, well adjusted, mature, adult.

Hopefully the law will catch up with these types of cyberbullies, etc., … No one needs to go online and be assaulted … IMO …

And it does not help when supposedly "good" members here "pile on". Makes me wonder about their motivation and mental health as well ? It too have my own "enemies' list". And adopt total situation awareness when I see these types post here … And I have a long memory.

Legion. They hacked her website account too. Posting all kinds of personal info and information.Now I wasn't going to post anything Here. But like others I come here for the information and help. I check out these threads to see what the hubbub was. Sometimes it is a nice and entertaining break. I too have been attacked acoupla times. I'm still here and have been for over 10 years.

Yes, I saw that on CNN today. I hope the authorities do an investigation and possibly find the offender(s). The things those posted on her site was waaaay above & beyond. Maybe the laws should be changed to include this type of attack as a "Hate Crime". As her race and sex, etc., were targets.

Of course I have been attacked here sometimes also. But I'm still here too. As I do learn and see things here that interest me. And for every I encounter here … there are 20, 30, or more "Good Guys" …
