They look the part! Love the cloak and shield work. What is the make? Feudal Castings maybe? Well done! |

Thanks Joker and you got in one- Feudal castings! There are a couple of boys in helmets from Essex in the other pics too. |

Essex was my second guess. I spotted the helmet fellows and that was my initial thought. But the lightly armed men were nothing like Essex of the same type. |

The Essex figures are the ones without armour but with helmet as you probably have already worked out. Instead of the usual Essex big horse they come with little ponies-nice touch. |

That is all of interest to me Terrement thanks for taking the trouble. As well as Have a Heart I've started thinking about a Piquet style rule set for the Late Roman-Early Medieval period. Hence the Pict post. Either the new morale system works or it doesn't. Ideally if there is a big discrepancy between the two results the player benefiting will take more chances. I'm sure that Morale Points changing hands as a reward for success is a useful mechanism. I can see it increasing momentum. I'm toying with the idea of 'Wave' attacks for Pict cavalry in a new draft blog post- a sort of hybrid between Brendan Moyles's 'Wave' idea and James Roach's 'Close Skirmish' one. |
