They look the part! Love the cloak and shield work. What is the make? Feudal Castings maybe?

Well done!

Thanks Joker and you got in one- Feudal castings! There are a couple of boys in helmets from Essex in the other pics too.

Essex was my second guess. I spotted the helmet fellows and that was my initial thought. But the lightly armed men were nothing like Essex of the same type.

The Essex figures are the ones without armour but with helmet as you probably have already worked out. Instead of the usual Essex big horse they come with little ponies-nice touch.

That is all of interest to me Terrement thanks for taking the trouble. As well as Have a Heart I've started thinking about a Piquet style rule set for the Late Roman-Early Medieval period. Hence the Pict post.

Either the new morale system works or it doesn't. Ideally if there is a big discrepancy between the two results the player benefiting will take more chances.

I'm sure that Morale Points changing hands as a reward for success is a useful mechanism. I can see it increasing momentum.

I'm toying with the idea of 'Wave' attacks for Pict cavalry in a new draft blog post- a sort of hybrid between Brendan Moyles's 'Wave' idea and James Roach's 'Close Skirmish' one.
