Safety standards so lacking, no breast plate, no kevlar, no mask. And a chain around then neck to stop them fleching off the end of the piste. Can't say I've ever seen that. Nice to see they picked foil at least. |

GAAAAAKKKKKKK!!!!!!! I haven't done competitive fencing since my teens, but I was horrified. No flattened tip on the foil, no tip guard, no padding, no padded chest protection, neck protection, mesh faced helmet, gloves, arms, padded thighs. Oh migod, juglar, eyes, femeral arteries!!! And why is she wearing a leash like a dog? And what's that bar she's tetherd to on the ground. And the stripper boots! Spiral fractures, broken ankles, torn tendons! |
