They're nice, but I wish I knew the sources for these designs, some of which seem to be highly speculative or not in conformance with what we know of the regulations of the time or the heraldry of the clans involved. Practically none of the contemporary colors of either side survive and descriptions are extremely scanty and unassigned in many cases. I comment as someone who has spent years in research on this topic. There were other model flags of the 1745 rebellion released once by another company and I had similar reservation about those, too. |

Well piper you can wait until history shakes out the real deal, or like most of us we want to play a game and wish but don't care. Be accurate where you can and fill the gaps when you can't. |
