I was getting some modelling stuff out of the loft and came across a small collection of micro armour. What scales are they, the bigger ones on the left are about 3cm and the smaller on the right are about 2cm

Micro armor is nominally 1/85, but you have several scales/sizes of vehicle there. |

I thought there were just 2 scales and the smallest one was just a small tank but checking through them again it seems I have 3 scales. the four on the left Panther, PzIVs Stug and Sdkfz are one, the 3 on the right Jagpanther, King Tiger & Panther are another and the tiny one is the third scale So what scale would have a Pz IV at about 1.5cm then 2cm then 3cm? |

1/285 or 1/300 for Micro Armor. the others might be 12mm or 1/144 |

3cm would be 1/200th, 2cm 1/300th & 1.5cm 1/400th. the last one I have never come across. I would guess the big ones are /200th and the smaller 1/285th, they look a little large for /300th. he tiny one is probably a really small tank, possibly a Matilda I, in 11/300th. Just my 10p(Post Brexit inflation.) worth Fatman |

The 5 larger vehicles on the left (Panther, Pz 4, StuG 3, Pz 4, and SdKfz 250 halftrack) are all nominaly 10mm scale from a UK manufacturer. The 4 smaller vehicles on the right are 1/300 scale from a UK manufacturer, likely H&R or Scotia. They are a Hetzer, a Tiger I hull with a Tiger II turret, a Tiger II with a Panther turret, and the wee tiny one is an Italian M11/39. cheers |

OK, so left to right 10mm 1/300 and tiny third set? I got these some 30 years ago, hence the lack of knowledge about what they are as they probably haven't seen the light of day for 25 years. Heroics and Ross rings a bell, I seem to recall buying from them, no idea where I got the big ones from but I've got many more of those than the others. Why do they not just describe these things as either in xxmm or x/xxx, it's so confusing!

I see Minifigs do 12mm. I wonder if the bigger ones are Minifigs as I used to buy quite a bit of stuff from them back in the day. |

30 years ago I don't think the Minifigs 12mm existed. I suspect your bigger ones are Skytrex 1/200 scale if they're that old. The Tiger's *hull* (ie. ignore the gun) was 6.3 metres long, so 1/200 would be about 32mm long, 1/150 about 42mm. |

Skytrex sounds right Dom, thanks and thanks to everyone else who responded! |
