So, I'm going to be learning Schwere Kompaine rules using 10mm and nothing larger than a company each side (at first, smaller battles as I learn the rules). The ONLY 2 areas of war that interest me are post D-Day (right after the beach head was established….the allies taking the first objectives) and Eastern Front Kursk and beyond. So, can someone help out with a good list of scenarios for post D-Day beach landings? I want to use whatever resources I can find online and try and replicate the actual terrain features and actual locales in France. I remember somewhere reading about a site that offers actual aerial recon photos of France that the allies used prior to invasion. I'd like to use something like that for my maps/terrain. Thanks for any assistance |

Britton has one on Chef-du-Pont – link and they have more on battles in the next 60-90 days after D-Day, but I'm not sure that's what you're looking for. TooFatLardies also has a few – All American and Where The Hell Have You Been Boys – for I Ain't Been Shot Mum. |

For company level stuff, the Fireball Forward people do a range of scenario books. The Facebook group is probably more up to date than their web site. The Skirmish Campaigns books are more aimed at reinforced platoons (and are also frequently bath-tubbed versions of bigger battles so an entire Panzer Regiment becomes two Panthers on the tabletop). You could of course scale them back up again. Otherwise I tend to just read unit histories and look at maps to work out interesting scenarios. |

Take a look at Too Fat Lardies "Blenneville or Bust" for company level and Pint Sized Campaigns for platoon/platoon plus supports. I'm sure you can adapt the scenarios to your preferred rules. link toofatlardies.co.uk/index.php? main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=106 |
