quite difficult to detect the truth , probably also consulting primary sources which are, obviously, one side only….but the fact that make me smile..is that once US "liberated" Philipines from Spanish colonialist…the find themselves heavily commited from a military point of view..facing a more or less regular army of patriots..then one revolt after the other…not least fightng the Mindanao/Sulu rebels after those fiersome warriors had find a sort of appeasement, or at least moderate self determination with the Spanish and, in total good faith, expected an obvious similar treatment or better with the US government..
