Hi Guys, Over the last few months I've been sculpting and drop-casting up some larger sized Frigates for my space fleets. They were a real blast to do and I'm very happy with them. As the models get larger the casting process has become more difficult. The engine nacelles on some of these models had me swearing, but cutting the vents helped a lot. The new models are about 4cm long with a nominal scale of 1/1200th, but in space I guess scale is whatever you make it. Here are some pictures and there are more over at the blog. I hope you like them.

Love 'em! I always wondered why nobody has turned TTA into a tabletop miniatures game? There is the RPG, but no wargame. link |

Better than good! Really nice design aesthetic there – all the fleets have a distinct 'look', but it's subtle. They all look like they sprang from a shared tech origin. |

I hope you like them. Hope realized. Doug |

Love the TTA stuff – like the pirate's, the colour scheme is bang on. |

Thanks Guys, Glad that you think that the designs hang together Norman. It's a head scratcher to come up with something that works for larger and smaller ships. Guess the best example of this is Tie Fighters and Star Destroyers from Star Wars. They look so totally different, but they work so well together. Cheers Beast and SB. I'm amazed myself at how this project is working out. TTG was a first love as it just had the coolest ships and I like the idea of the Proximans and Alphans being locked into a war when the Terrans arrive. There was a good Space 1999 episode called Wargames that had that very same scenario. Glad you like the colours Rou, I've just got to get this scheme worked in somehow.Damn cool ship the Lima.
All the best, Nick |

The Lima is a nice piece of work and an effecitve colour scheme – getting the straight lines right would be the trickiest bit. Despite the number of spaceship ranges out there, I never seen anything thats really caught the vibe of ships in the books for me. I'd really like to see someone do the Lima, the Stryker and the Stellar Cow! Has anyone attempted to stat up TTA stuff for FT or similar systems? |

Hi Rou, Unbelievably I don't have a set of rules for space combat. So there might be someboby who has done TTA stats for Full Trust. The Stellar Cow is an awesome beast. It has such a lovely paint job and like all Elson ships looks like it could really exist.
Which one is the Stryker. Is it the one being pulled into a black hole? |

Nice ships---plan on making them for sale??? Use Silent Death ships as basis for the Capellan raider pirate fleet, and would love to have your pirate ships as an addition to their fleet. |

Despite the number of spaceship ranges out there,… Have you looked at the Zandris IV stuff? Studio Bergstrom? Some of the seemingly-inspired-by-Homeworld in Zandris, while not specific ships, captured some of the vibe for me. Doug |

Do'oh, Starraker, not Striker! link @Beast Zandris IV ships I really like, but they do seem more influenced by Homeworld, than by 70's spaceship art in general – though the Homeworld vessels do have a nod in that direction. |

Unbelievably I don't have a set of rules for space combat. So there might be someboby who has done TTA stats for Full Trust. Heck of a lot of the books were battles in atmo-astro transition. Outside of some old AeroTech and, I think, the Trav COACC book, not much has been done with that. (*He said without trepidation, for proven wrong, his knowledge would multiply.*) Doug |
