Hi all,
I restarted my 3mm NATO / WARPAC project. After painting up all of my Oddzial Osmy (O8) helicopters, I attempted to use the rotors they came with, from Pico Armor. They were entirely too flimsy, and the "detail" of the actual rotors can be rubbed off by thumb. Am I doing something wrong here, are they meant as a "sticker"? Or if they indeed are too flimsy, anyone recommend different rotors in 3mm? Thanks!

Are they meant to be stuck to a clear plastic support?

That's odd. The rotors I received from Picoarmor were on rigid plastic card and hold up quite well. I wonder if they've changed suppliers or something.

Try these, they're amenable to cutting odd sizes

I can second Hurlbat as they are brilliant (and do special ones to order as Jarrovian said) all my hind commander whirlybirds have hurlbat rotors. Great customer service and excellent stuff.

Oddzial Osmy originally provided rotors for its 1:600 helicopters printed on rigid plastic card. However, a number of years back they were unable to source the plastic card and switched to a film which has to be stuck onto clear plastic card. Old stock from Oddzial Osmy may still have plastic card rotors, but almost all rotors nowadays will be on film.

Sorry about being late to this….

We supply alternative rotors on stiff clear stock for reasons cited.

These can be found in each of the helicopters detail page.

If we've missed lone, let us know and we'll whip them out.

Thanks!

I don't use the supplied sticker rotors.

I usually just buy the alternate stiff rotors from PicoArmor @ .50 for 4, but sometimes if I forget, I just use the supplied sticky as my template to which I trace circles onto clear sheeting and cut out. I use overhead projector sheets or presentation clear cover sheets. I could probably just use my scanner to print the rotors directly onto overhead sheets.
