… Panthers, Spring 1945.

"The Clausewitz unit ID of six of these Panthers has been, or can be reasonably nailed down by their location and/or distinctive bold camo and tac number styles. "122", "313 and "507 on the other hand are from my 'Unbekannt file' and are the subject of speculation. Maybe someone can confirm or convincingly rule these three out?

Going by the photographic record, by the spring of 1945 very few Panthers were being encountered by the British Army in northern Germany. Pz. Div. Clausewitz appears to be the chief unit in this region fielding Panthers, hence the speculation over "122" and "313". "507" at first glance would suggest its a II Abteilung vehicle, however it is known Pz. Abt. 2106 did use the code "503" on one of its Befehlspanthers in the autumn of 1944, hence the tentative correlation with Clausewitz…"
