Hi all,
To break up the monotony of painting endless amounts of Panzers and KV-1/T-34s, I decided to experiment with some thin balsa wood. Hope you enjoy it!

The unfinished Shermans were used as a scale reference.

Basecoats on and the beginning of drybrushing

Yes, the sandbags were purposely made too big for 1:1 scale. I felt like true 6mm sandbags would be too small to look right. The flag was made from a small piece of sketchbook paper and a left over 10mm decal from I-9 Enterprises.

Overall, I didn't think it turned out too bad. I think I'm going to attempt a 4 or 5 story building like this next.
Thanks,
Jake

Thanks for the kind words, guys!

Dynaman -- balsa wood is great! I usually get it much cheaper than foam board (which is nice for being a broke college student)
