Like it says. A friend and I are going to do 20mm for Bolt Action, and maybe some CoC in the Pacific. What figures are out there?

I picked up several 1/72 tank and infantry for Japan kits at Bayou Wars. Pegasus sells 20mm WW2 from another company that would work for US infantry. Check the old FFAA which used to be in Nashville but were sold. I think they had Pacific packs.

There are several companies that I've got in my collection.

If you order from Grubby Tanks ( grubbytanks.com ) , Andy's got the Britannia line as well as both Japanese and USMC in the Kellys Heroes line. Great figures and fantastic service ( I'm located in Ohio. )

The old Warmodelling / Fantassin line is good as well. ( link )

FAA miniatures has both sides as well ( faaminiatures.com ) but I've not ordered from the new owners so can't attest to their service.

Eureka miniatures ( link ) – If you're in the States, Rob's excellent to do business with. I don't have any Eureka figures in my collection ( yet ) so can't comment on them.

Sgt. Major Miniatures has a nice line ( sgmm.biz/USMC_c_4.html ) and I really like the dog teams.

Those are the ones off the top of my head and hope this helps!

Strelets have some new early-war Americans, if you don't disdain Plastics.

As Yankee tiger says Andy has two excellent ranges in Kelly's Heros and Britannia miniatures for figures along with a fair range of vehicles.

FAA links. Ordered from them. Service ok.

Eureka has 20mm Japanese as well as the Marines listed above. These form the bulk of my Pacific units. I like them a lot. For COC you'll have to look elsewhere for crews.

I use Milicast for Artillery crew, Amtrac crews and landing craft crews.

In the US Scale Creep carries the Warmodelling line but not much of the Marine. Mark can tell you the prospects of availability here.

PMFJI, I have been researching and working up 20mm WWII projects for most of 2016, mostly AB, PSC, etc, for European and Russian theaters. I am also interested, to a slightly lesser degree, in the Pacific and Burma campaigns.

In my online researching and following this thread for months I haven't come across much talk about the Eureka WWII Pacific 20mm Australian, US Marines and Japanese. Is there a reason, the "renderings" certainly look pretty good anyway?

I'd like to hope the Eureka 20mm could provide a good starting point. I know that Imperial troops (Burma)would pose a challenge but would hope for some future development in that area?

Thanks the comment, they are nice, all their stuff looks intriguing. Will be following their site development closely.

Are they US based?

Yes they are. I have been buying MLR/FAA figures for 30 years and can recommend them, and good service even to Australia

Received my three packs of Japanese, "Chindits" and USMC from Eureka USA last week. Thanks for your input above, they are very nice figures, similar to AB in style and heft.

Surprised they haven't received more "press" online. Will be using them and likely FAA too once the USA website is up.

Cheers,

Wartime have Australians and Brits

iPaint05 Sep 2016 10:55 a.m. PST

I'm using Sgt Major Miniatures, Battlemodels, Eureka, and the OOP Battlefield range for my USMC, and then Sgt Major Miniatures, FAA, Eureka, and Battlemodels for my IJA/SNLF forces.

So far everything fits in nicely (the FAA Japanese range is slightly smaller than the others, though, so be wary of you want them all to fit size wise).
