Hey all!

Well, I took on a small commission for a set of figures from the Sharpe book, and I was hoping I could turn to everyone here for a bit of help, given how much everyone here knows!

I needed guidance on three things.

First, I need a good mounted figure to represent a British Engineer officer. I've seen the colors of the uniform, but is it just a regular mounted British officer painted differently?

Second, okay, anyone have any ideas of a female figure with a rifle I could use as a basis for Teresa?

Third, does anyone make a weapon pack that might contain a Nock rifle?

Oh, I lied, four questions… I am DYING to find the rifleman who is lying down and using his feet to steady his rifle in this photo, sold as a single figure:

Anyone know if there is a way to get figures from Warlord as single figures?

Thanks all… I really appreciate the help, as the base of knowledge here is FAR better than any one person could muster up!:D

Take a look at Brigade Games's Spanish Napoleonic range:

Ohhh, see, that's the sort of thing I'd never know!:)

I might have to do a LITTLE work on her, as she is actually in a rifles uniform with chasseur pants, like Sharpe, right? I wonder if I can find something similar but NOT in uniform…? Just a woman with a rifle/musket? Maybe in an AWI range or something…? I feel like Teresa should be in a bit of a more "sexy" pose, if that makes any sense… like standing there, hair flowing, looking like a badass?:) I don't think Hasslefree makes anything appropriate, but something similar…?

Anyone make a similar figure in 40mm?

What about this figure, with the sword removed and replaced with a rifle in that hand, the hat taken off, hair extended a bit, and maybe a cross belt and some other stuff to cover up a bit of the cleavage? Still lady-looking and a bit "Look at me!" but also a bit less overtly sexy? Still too pirate?

BTW, I am struggling a bit on finding an officer for the engineer. Could this guy work…

Would I need to do a cross belt on him? Because I want him to look like the guy on the left here, correct?

Oh, and also… anyone happen to know… there is a specific bit out there, of a rabbit or something hanging from the belt of someone who poached it… anyone know where I could find something like that?

Oh, and ANOTHER thing… French backpacks. I can probably make them, but anyone know if there are any for sale as bits?

Thanks in advance everyone… sorry there is so much, but my knowledge is limited and I'd like to do this right!:D

I'd make the Nock gun out of thin styrene rod and a plastic musket from Warlord or Perry. The styrene will naturally pack into the proper hexagonal array and is available in many thicknesses at hobby stores. Glue the bundle together, cut to length, and attach to a musket cut off in front of the flintlock. Should make a pretty decent Nock gun (which wasn't exactly an intricate weapon)

Yeah, the Nock gun I was thinking I could cobble together from a musket… but didn't know if there would be one out there already:)

Saltflats,

We make a woman loading a rifle in 40mm in our AWI range. miniatureservicecenter.com

I LOVE that figure. I actually got her for my sons army:)

(This topic was double posted, so I have doubly responded.)

Teresa with a musket, from Brigade Games:

I also have a mounted Teresa, from Redoubt:

"Harper" with a Nock rifle -- Redoubt, Alban and Chiltern made Sharpe and Harper figs. Redoubt's are still available:

British Engineers wore a standard infantry uniform, red with "Garter Blue" (a lighter shade than the dark blue facings worn by "royal" regiments). So any officer would do.

If you're looking for a Major Hogan-type with a more civilian dress, perhaps the mounted Nap civilian in Front Rank's CNPK2…with a head swap?

Or the mounted figure in Redoubt pack with Teresa:

I converted Sharpe and his men, I made the Nock rifle from plasticard rod, it was actually pretty easy, money got tight so had to sell these off, will make another group one day and will make the barrel a little shorter next time.
