Hi I've been looking for a mass fantasy wargame rule set for a while now and I keep on seeing comments from 2013 relating to this ruleset and mentioning that it might be released soon!!! Is it still alive or can we pack up the CPR? Cheers GrumpyOldMan |

I have come to think of it in a race with George R. R. Martin's next SoIaF book. Or maybe the one after. 2013 relating to this ruleset and mentioning that it might be released soon!!! It's been "in playtesting" for something like seven years, so it's bound to be awesome. |

I think Andrea's said elsewhere (usually in response to questions about another rule set, Song of Swords and Sandals?) that he's focusing on the bread and butter lines first, which are the Osprey rules and the Advanced SoBH expansions. |

I still don't know why, after it's development has come (supposedly) so far, and after so many have asked after it over the YEARS, he cant find time, here and there to finish it off. It's not like GG is developing pharmaceuticals. |

I seem to recall Andreas saying (either on the Yahoo Group or a Facebook thread) that he was not happy with the way it was going and needed to go back to the drawing board on it. Based on the release of the Osprey stuff, ASoB&H, and 4AD in the interval, I think it's easy to guess that this is not a high priority for him. Doug |

Yeah, 4AD has really gone over well for him too. |

I confirm it's not high priority. I was not satisfied with the old version so I started it from scratch. The new version will be more innovative (and not to everybody's liking I think, but I will give ample descriptions and play samples so people can see how it works before they buy; basing will be non critical so your existing armies work fine). Also please understand: I have very few playtesters and sometimes other projects take precedence just because that's what the local guys want to play or have armies for. Fantasy is simply not popular where I live, and wargamers are a rare, graying breed, so I must make do with what's available :-) |
