A few trips to the local game shop turned up a few figures on the shelves that should work well in 15mm. These are all Reaper Bones figures that can be easily scaled-up for use in 15mm. First, some wizard familiars:
Next, some large scorpions:
This Filth Beast turns from a scary thing, to an absolute monstrosity:
Finally, these tentacles are for spell effects, but make a great 15mm water hazard:
The scale-figures are from a warband sold by Ral Partha Europe – the mercenary pack. They aren't Bones miniautres, but here's a shot of the whole group anyway, just for kicks:

Thanks for this. I have some of the scorpions, as well as some of the spiders and rats. I didn't know about the familiars or the Ral Partha minis. Regards, Scott Chisholm |

I've got a bunch for 15mm horror too, their creatures/monsters are great for that. |

I just use whatever feels right. Dragons are fantastic. Ogres as hill Giants. Minotaurs as giant beast men. It's fantasy, it's not like some one will measure the rivets. |

GreekGeek: Exactly, I'm just showing the peanut gallery a few items I've found that work well. Like these hordelings:

The reaper bones Worm also does great and would be superb for both fantasy and scifi. |
