The casualty markers are a good use of otherwise wasted card. |

Yes, as a starter set, it might have been handy to have unit profiles go on the other two flaps. |

I would love to see the quick start rules to help explain the game to my friends. I bought the ACW supplement and the main rule book and then I also bought the Perry ACW Battle in the Box and several packs of ACW figures from Perry. I asked Warlord if they could send me the quick start rule pdf and they told me to buy the Waterloo Box --- even though I play ACW. Needless to say I was not pleased. I told them how many Black Powder/Bolt Action items I've purchased but to no avail. They sent me a smiley face at the end of the email! I get it. They want to make money but sometimes it interferes with common sense. Thanks for the video. That was well done. It's a nice set. |

Thanks – having seen the quick start set, it might have been a good idea (and certainly more useful than some of the other pages in there) to see something like that in the rule book as a specific place for the new player to 'live in' and for regular players to re-cap or fast reference. I suppose Warlord see a danger of a PDF being 'out there', but it would make a great deal of sense for them to provide hard copies at a nominal charge. As more starter sets come out, these sort of 'extras' may become more common. I would like to see a Hail Caesar quick start set. The Perry ACW wargame in a box set has its own rules (Firepower), a complete fun set, which are nicely presented, so maybe the bench mark for starter sets now is to get some fast play rules in there. |

I've played the Firepower Rules. Those work for solo play. When I played with my buddies, no wanted to close in for the kill since you can't move AND shoot, and so we ended up shooting at each other at long distance for the whole game. |
