I have seen the very nice figures and even an overview of the rules in a magazine but are they actually available? I couldn't find them on the Forged in Battle website. Base upon what I read they seem interesting but I still have questions and would love to see some more in-depth reviews or summaries.

W & E is the subject of the Rules Showcase feature in WI 345. It includes a rundown of the rules mechanisms.

For those that participated in their last kickstarter, they had a free beta version you could try out and give feedback on. I really wanted to try them out but just haven't had time lately (damn you life!)

See if you have anyone around you who participated in the kickstarter and see if they can still download the beta version of the rules.

From what I remember, things I really liked were the 12D instead of your usual 6D, more in depth classifications of troops than DBM does, but not too in depth to where you cant play the game, all units had cards which gave statistics so there isn't a lot of book keeping.

The beta test of the War & Empire rules has come to an end and all the feedback is currently being reviewed, incorporated where appropriate and the production version of the rules are being put together for final layout.

The unit cards for the armies are being developed but there are a lot of them to do. The cards for the Carthaginian and Republican Roman cards were made available to KS backers.

@Prince Alberts Revenge – send me a message with your questions about the rules.
