The Peter Pig forum has been up and running for a while now with some nice friendly chatter going on. Pop over, join and join in. All the cool kids are doing it!

It is great for those interested PP progress. there is also a lot of general stuff too. Not as good as TMP but jolly nice anyway.

I will pass. Found the RCFM group less friendly than Frothers.

Colonel Bogey01 Aug 2016 1:43 p.m. PST

@Allen57

Ah – but this group is new and clearly far more enlightened than the old RFCM one – not a cross word in the hundreds of posts to date, and much easier to use too.

Plus you get lots of emerging news and gossip on what is soon to pop out of the Piggy workshop. And even the chance (albeit with no cast-iron guarantees) to try and influence what Martin will turn his hand to next.

Go on – give it a chance and have a look: what have you got to lose apart from 5 minutes of your time?

Allen, have to agree 100% with you there. That yahoo group was an awful experience. A real mates club. But I have joined this forum and so far all good. The evil people have not appeared.

First post I checked out had a direct link to the problem site mentioned and next one was blasé in extremis. Pass for now. But I do like Peter Pig figures and hundreds upon hundreds to prove it!

Emphatz01 Aug 2016 10:01 p.m. PST

Yeah I noticed, so I registered, received an email saying that I did and that I had to be approved before I could log in, that was back on the 23/07/2016, to date I have had no approval email and if I try to log in to the forum it tells me that my username doesn't exist, Martin have I been missed or is your forum broken? HELP!

listlurker01 Aug 2016 11:55 p.m. PST

Hi Emphatz, we are battling with Russian spammers right now, so it might be that your application got rejected in amongst that . What is the first word in your email address (not the whole thing) I can look on the pending applications . If you are there I can manually accept it

Thanks
Simon

Emphatz03 Aug 2016 3:37 a.m. PST

Hi Listlurker,
First word on my email is 'chatz' and thanks.

listlurker03 Aug 2016 5:16 a.m. PST

Hi Emphatz,

I can't see you you in the member list , awaiting approval or banned list. It might be possible that I rejected your application amongst all the .ru addresses I get by accident (sorry , if this the case ) . Can you try to register again, failing that I can create you an account manually if you are still having trouble

We'll get there !

Simon

Hi, in answer to some of the comments here. I wasn't really aware of the yahoogroup cliques , as I came late to the game, and I've got different issues with yahoo.

All I can say is that, as moderator , I will run the forum with as even a hand as I can. So far everyone had been polite and played nicely . :-)

Hi Listlurker,
I have re-registered and have received a confirmation to that effect, now just waiting on you guys to approve me :)

mashrewba03 Aug 2016 6:23 a.m. PST

Good news -I'm a big PP fan and Yahoo Groups are just an absolute pain in the neck.

listlurker03 Aug 2016 6:53 a.m. PST

Ok Emphatz , you're approved now!

Simon

Emphatz03 Aug 2016 6:39 p.m. PST

Thanks Simon, we got there in the end.

Billy Goat Wargaming11 Aug 2016 3:07 a.m. PST

I'll echo Simons comments. The link to the old group is merely for some of the more useful files (I think?) Ithe was created in 1999 so has a heck of a lot of good content on there. True there were occasional spats but show me a forum where there had never been disagreement?

We want to be inclusive not exclusive. New members will be welcomed. But it is a forum for positivity so negative Nellie's might need to use another place to moan!

That isn't to say the forum is sycophantic in its attitude but there are plenty of places (here?) to venture anger dissappointment and concern. Or contact the relevant party privately.

The Internet in my experience can encourage people to say things online they wouldn't say in person.

So the message is, hop on over, contribute and make the hobby a better place to be 😀

Sorry - only verified members can post on the forums.
