Yesterday I was lucky enough to see JDS Kashima (one of the JMSDF's training ships) sailing up the River Thames towards the centre of London.

She will be moored alongside HMS Belfast until Wednesday, when she will return down river.

It appears that my submission has been bugged by a rather unpleasant message about how to buy fake IDs etc.

Sorry about this, but it is nothing to do with me!

Did she have to pay a barrel of Brandy to the Port of London Harbour master?

Freerangeegg,

Do they still honour that ancient toll? I do hope do!

I have several friends who are Freemen of the City of London, and have the right to drive geese over London Bridge … or is it sheep?

RittervonBek01 Aug 2016 4:52 a.m. PST

Bob,
Sheep. Honorary only these days.

RittervonBek (Mike),

What a pity! It would be nice if they would allow a Freeman to drive a token flock of sheep across the bridge once each year. Possibly on the same day as the Lord Mayor's Show?
