I am working on a Metamorphosis Alpha campaign an during the curse of the campaign I planning on planning on having some large skirmish battles and I have several things that need to be covered in the rules:

1. 1 character = 1 model
2. Rules for robots
3. Excellent selection of weapons
4. Rules for powers/mutations and psionic
5. Decent rules for vehicles.
6. RPG-lite rules.

Please feel free to post your recommendations.

So why are you not using Metamorphosis Alpha rules? In stead of restricting yourself with rules why not try player driven actions that you adjudicate as the Game Master.

I will concur with Spooner6 to a certain degree. Tomorrow's War I think would meet most of your criteria except for number six. Then again that aspect would be up to you and the players by my thinking.

Pulp Alley, the RPG-lite interpretation of Force-on-Force/Tomorrow's War. Does everything you want. You'll want all the supplements, though. Worth it, fantastic system.

I want a ruleset to for large-scale skirmish battles.

Take a look at Nordic Weasel Games, they have what you are looking for in 5 Core rules series.

I am familiar with them and what rules would recommend?

FiveCore skirmish 3rd edition has something like 30 or 40 "weird powers" in the book, as well as vehicle rules and levelling up.

Running a platoon might be a bit rough, though people do it for multiplayer games, treating every 5-8 guys as their own army with their own activation roll.

There's no explicit robot rules though, you'd have to sort that out on your own.

Mutants and Death Ray Guns, by Ganesha Games has most of what you're after. Lacks only vehicle rules, but you might be able to add them in from Ganesha's Flying Lead rules…

Thank you for the input.

Fast and Dirty should give you what you want…

Check out the 5150 series of rules from Two Hour Wargames.

The rules are designed for solo play, lite RPG and covers man to man encounters around a city, skirmish combat, all the way up to spaceship combat.
