the Nazi's were coming to re secure the bridge for reinforcements.

the 82nd airborne was ready to stare down the jaws of death awaiting.

the neblewerfers were ready to fire! it took some time for the FO to get close.

the Americans withheld their fire until they saw the whites of their eyeballs!

for 6 turns the 82nd reinforcements were playing poker. while the company held the bridge and staved off attacks!

meanwhile the panzergrenedier platoon were pressing into the attack in turn 2. (having played drinking games the night before). they refused to get close to the enemy. Even when the Panzer IV (G) platoon showed up! (the grenediers were probably too hung over).

they refused orders from their Hauptman to engage! After repeated shouts and expletives. they stood by while their HMG platoon was cut to shreds. The senior Hauptman had to run back and attempt to rally them.
4 turns of inactivity! they refused to attack no matter what he said.

turn 7 has come. finally, the light tank platoon of Stuarts finally came. (probably finished with their BBQ)

very few losses to AMERICANS. too under strength to launch any attack.(more likely Mal-nourished because they had no BBQ!).

i think some panzergrenediers are going to the Russian front. The FO is getting new glasses.
