Some projects take a long time and this one certainly did -19 years. A couple of units to do and some cavalry flags and I'm done. Anyhow here are my Jacobite and Williamite armies. The figures are 15mm mainly Essex and Irregular.
There are clicky versions of these pics on my blog plus an update at withob.blogspot.co.uk |

Your flags look pretty good there I think. |

Very nice armies. You give me hope- I started my Williamites and Jacobites about two years ago. Using Pendraken 10mm, one base of about 16 to 20 figures for each infantry battalion and a base of 6 cavalry figures per squadron. So far done all of the Dutch and Danish from the Boyne OoB and made a good start on the English cavalry and infantry. Still not started the Jacobites, but hopefully it will take less than 19 years- otherwise I'll be nearly 90 before I get to play with them! |

Thanks lads. Yeah I was a bit slow finishing these two alright. Those Pendraken figures look lovely Dave had I not already gone for 15mm I'd have bought them. In my current mode I'm painting two battalions a week – the joy of retirement. |

Nicely done, beats my five and a half regiments… |

Thanks, I'm sure you will get finished before I did. If you look at the top left of the top picture you will see a lone stand of pike men. Grey uniform and dark blue facings, somewhere in the lead pile his unpainted comrades await the brush. They could be French or Dutch but I cannot remember what I intended. |

Yeah I know, and you are not wrong, but work, family, life and shiny do tend to intervene. That's the case for the Defense any road. |
