I am always curious when I see these mega battles at convention as to how well they progress and do players stay engaged. Personally I like at most to run a game with about six players, eight tops. It is extremely important to me as the game master that all players are engaged and enjoying the game. From what I can gleam from the photos the players are having a good time. Not my period but kudos for an excellent looking table and well painted minis. |

Any game can have engaged players, even small ones, although the risk does increase with player numbers. I think most everyone seemed pretty engaged in the game, and it would actually have run even better with a few MORE players. My favorite game of all time was our immense Wagram game at Historicon 2009. 14 players, and could even have used another player or two.
link Certainly ALL of us GM's want to keep everyone in the action. Field of Battle works quite well for that, IMHO. And once again, you're welcome, Clif. It was a pleasure to have you in my game, and so glad that you and your group have enjoyed To the Strongest! Peter |
