I don't really follow 3D progress, so these might not impress anyone here, but I am sharing in the belief that this is an early example of 3D printing bringing a commercially viable piece to the mass market. LINK – link |

For wargames purposes I think they would be better off just doing a hollow box, (front, sides and top), designed to drop over existing wargames units, to represent them when in testudo formation (which probably won't be often). If they did that in 15mm, depending on the cost, I'd probably buy at least a dozen. I think they would be better off leaving the shield fronts plain, except for the boss, to allow for shield transfers (matching the unit beneath) Just my 6 pennorth. |

@JARROVIAN – I've seen that as a printed paper cut out. It just drops over the unit. Has shields printed on top, left and centre, pictures of brawny legionaries on the right and rear. It does work. |
