About 18 months ago I bought some 15mm figures from Blue Moon to complete my British contingent for Minden.

With lots of distractions (mostly Jutland themed) these have just been nibbled at since purchase. I finally got a bit of mojo going to finish them off doing a Battalion a week, mostly to stop me going mad from ship painting.

So here we have the six finished units (unfortunately Blue Moon haven't released Fusiliers yet so they have been temporarily replaced by the legendary 33rd).

The SYW bug is still strong so I have gone straight into 4 battalions of French Guard, strike while the Iron is hot and all that.

They're beautiful. SYW is a great period.

A most impressive sight, Louis is cowering as we speak.

Really impressive looking! My allied army is also based on Minden, being my favorite of all SYW battles.

Tricornes look so much better than Shakos.

Very nice! Although I personally prefer Shakos to tricornes I like both a great deal – and have a great many SYW minis

Most not quite so well painted, though

I think the single rank stands give a more linear look to this time period.

They look very well painted to me.

You've made a nice job of them.

Outstanding. Two nits:

1. I think the King's Colour goes on the other side:

2. While white gaiter are not incorrect, black was more common for campaigns, white was usually for dress.

The small 15's do look better if you can use brighter colors.

9 posts before someone picks a fault ! Is this a record for TMP LOL.

No idea why I have got the flags the wrong way round after 35 years of gaming mostly with British Armies, must stop sampling single malt whilst basing.

Gaiters were a conscious choice, I mostly use the wonderful Kronoskaf website for reference now as it's online. White, grey, brown or black. Happy with white.

I'm happy with the colours (with a u ! please, it's still English) too bright for me and they look cartoony it's a combination of red paints I have used for red for years and you're the first to say they aren't bright enough. Horses for courses as we say.

Another Laphroaig, don't mind if I do !

I meant that the white gaiters are brighter & hence a better choice for 15mm than black, though it did not sound that way in my writing.

They do pop, I grant you that. You are right about the black gaiters in that scale, they kind of look like high boots in that scale.
