Really unusual and colourful imaginative choice of unit. Here is hoping you mean "latest" not "last" unit from you! We want more………. |

Did the Swiss grenadiers' cords hang like that? I thought they hung from the middle. I recall my Minifigs having a different lace arrangement |

Thanks for your comments gentlemen. It seems I made some mistakes with the grenadiers. Thanks |

No, sorry, I didn't mean that – I was just interested in where you had seen that style of bearskin illustrated. Me, I have done my latest Swiss in shakos to get around the problem of lace on the bearskins. All the best Marc |

The truth is that I used victrix french and I didn't realise that swiss bearskins were different. Don't worry, I really appreciate your comments |

Well said Oriol Barcelona. So many folk take offence, when something like this is pointed out. Although I doubt I will ever exploit this new knowledge to create Swiss Bearskins, great to learn yet again how much info is out there, on this forum. |

The plate is from the Blandford 1812 uniforms book, and also shows the eagle being a stand-alone item. But I have seen that with French style bearskins as well. Some people love their mamelukes, me, I lurve my Swiss, so always on the look out for new info (like the flag they carried at Wavre – that was interesting) |
