To "test out the visuals" for an upcoming convention game, I brought out my 54mm Wild West stuff:

That looks like it will be a lot of fun. You can't go wrong with 54mm toy soldiers.

I am working on some 54s for this genre as well.

There was a 54mm game at Attack on Sunday that made me want to dig out my 54mm Westerners and now this appears – so that's a clincher….
I just need to be unashamed at the attempts at buildings I made 40+ years ago – thin plastic card doesn't hold up well compared to today's mdf and resin but maybe it has a quaint, retro look.
Must also dig out my copy of Shootist – it's one of several Western rule sets I've got and one of the ones I've never played.
Thanks for posting and giving me inspiration.

I would love to lay my mitts on some vintage Airfix 54mm Cowboys etc!

If you're looking for rules, I heartily recommend Fistful of Lead. I ran a convention game last May with a Magnificent 7 scenario and it played smoothly and quickly with 15 players!
