Thoughts please regarding British Bengal native cavalry regiments in the Sikh wars. I have an excess number of British light dragoon figures, if I file off the shako peak and paint in suitable uniform colours do any experts think this will be a decent representation? Or am I missing something? (Talking 20mm scale figures.) Cheers folks.

I'd say you could but it might be better if you also built up the Shako with a bit of Milliput or some such too. These are Black Hat 15mm Bengal cavalry so you can see the shape of the hat.
