Can I ask which version green most people use for their Russian Infantry coats.

A Vallejo ref if possible but any other make is fine

Thanks

I mix Andrea Napoleonic green and Vallejo Extra Dark Green.

Black primer
Reaper Paints Elven Green
Mix my own highlight color from the Elven green with any light cream color

Sometimes an established triad of colors provides a decent highlight, but usually I mix my own using the base color as the primary ingredient.

Thank you both for your information

Depends on your scale – I found GW's Snot Green ideal for my 6mm Adler's but it would probably be too light for larger sizes.

If you mix Vallejo Black Green (which has a blue bias) with Vallejo US Dark Green (that has an yellow bias) you'll be able to get a whole range of greens. Pick whichever mix you like the most.

I just use this method and wash the green with black but then I tend to paint my uniform colours darker than most.

For my 15s I use a 50:50 mix of German Dark Green (70896) and Black Green (70980) then touch-up and highlight with Black Green.

I use Christmas green from Delta Ceramcoat and then use a black ink wash. I have been thinking about adding some highlights too but I have not picked a green for that yet.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Co-incidentally I have just picked up a new Vallejo colour ( to me ) Military Green 70.975 which I am playing around with

Have a look at the Humbrol acrylics. They are very pigment dense and give a very good coverage on first application, I tend to prime in white so the coverage is very useful.

I think I use the number 241 for green and off subject a bit 104 for dark blue. Don't rely on the images on the web they aren't that accurate, check them out in the shop if you can (Ian Allen stocks them as I think they are part of their railway colours range). They are also quite cheap.

Sorry to be bit vague on detail but I've got a lot of my stuff packed ready to move house.
