Me and my friends, plus a Danish visitor, played the Battle of Tacna (from the War of the Pacific) in honor of the visit! No video report because more than 50% of the units wre proxies, but still a great game.
You can find the report and pictures here link With Respect KTravlos |

Did you play it at the normal troop scale or did you ratchet it down to something like 500 or 250 troops per stand? We are going to play Koniggratz at my wargaming club tomorrow using BBB. I didn't build a terrain mat for it (someone else is setting up the game) but we have all troops needed to play. I'm looking forward to giving this scenario a try. |

I played at the scale Chris used for the scenario which is I believe 330 something troops per base and 6 guns/MGs Initially the idea was to do Konningratz, be we were all time constrained, so the smaller Tacna was used. I wish you joy and look forward to the report.

The Chilean army is mighty tough in that scenario. Saw a bag of bat guano in a gardening store the other day for $19. USD No wonder they fought over it. Dave, remember to take pictures of Koniggratz! |

Proxies or not, a convincing depiction of a big nineteenth century battle in a desert. Nice job! Oh, and be careful with that guano. If you mistake it for toothpaste it doesn't half sting. Chris Bloody Big BATTLES! link bloodybigbattles.blogspot.co.uk |
