Some of the people picking up the Best Allies rules have asked for details of where they can get figures. Any thoughts especially from non-UK suppliers, in the various scales?

Eureka do some nice Austrians in 18 mm
There's Blue Moon figures through Old Glory also 18mm
In 28mm there is Fife and Drum Miniatures and Cran Tara Miniatures
Fife and Drum also sell the lovely Minden miniatures.

I have never heard of the rules, so I don't know if your choice of rules answers my question or not; The 18th century covers a pretty broad area from the Great Northern War to the French Revolution. Is there anything in particular you are looking for?

Dayton Painting Consortium for an older style 25mm SYW.

Old Glory as well for 25mm figures.

Battle Honors has a 25mm AWI line.

You have it, thats the period covered. Also includes the fighting in America. So native Americans needed as well. You can add to that Mamlukes and Ottomans.

For GNW, I would recommend Warfare Miniatures. For WAS, SYW and the '45, Minden and Crann Tara. For AWI, Fife & Drum and Perry. For WSS, Front Rank and Ebor, with Warfare's cavalry in tricornes. All these are in 28mm/ 1/56 scale.

Ebo have a fantastic range for WSS and Great Northern War.
