Does anyone know how the old Wargames Foundry Arthurian spearmen might compare in size to the Gripping Beast or Saxon Miniatures figures?

I know that I'll probably be buying from both of the latter companies, but I really like the Foundry figures to use as city militia. The have a very civilized late Roman look to them. However, since the foundry spearmen are a bit older, its worrisome that they might be smaller in their height.

Thanks!

Foundry and Saxon go well together. GB are larger.

Aren't the Gripping Beast Arthurians and the Saxon Miniatures designed by the same person?

By the way, Curt's/1st Corps have some of the same standing city militia looking Romano-Brits…don't know how they match-up scale wise though.

@Colonel

I am finding Saxon and Gripping Beast to be the same size. Everything sculpted by Colin Patten matches up very well. I've got Roman Brits slipping into my Anglo-Saxons with no trouble. I don't know about Foundry.

I am fairly certain the Foundry are smaller that GB, Saxon, and Curteys. I have some of the standing Arthurians and Picts, and have nevr been able to find a good match.

As a matter of fact, I think the Foundry Arthurian foot are somewhat smaller than the Foundry Late Romans.

Foundry are definitely smaller than GB. This isn't usually a problem, people having always varied in height, but because the poses of those particular figures are somewhat idiosyncratic (leaning on grounded shields etc.) they don't blend very well with other brands.

As far as I can recall (I did own some once) the Foundry late Romans are the same size as the Arthurians.

Sizewise Foundry and Old Glory Arthurians mix well; it's just the sculpting style/quality that isn't so compatible.
