I have most of the Superfigs line from Old Glory so I guess around 100, and almost all of them are painted. This makes me realize I need to get them on the table again! |

I have six to eight, but several have been converted. I have vague, long-term plans to do Alex Toth-style techno-fantasy, a la 'Thundarr the Barbarian'. Supers are a great jumping-off point. |

Way to go Nazrat! I have at least 100 also from various manufacturers, but only 10% or so fully painted. I find coming up with back stories and color schemes for generic supers is great fun. |

Zero unless you count the Star Wars Jedi I have for the Little Prince and the grandkids – in that case, 5 |

About 200 Heroclix, 1 metal painted, & 12 metal that need to be painted. |

I have eight very nice watchman prepaints but all are six inches (or so) tall and in a glass cabinet. Playing games with them doesn't overly appeal, I will confess. I have a 28mm Rorschach metal paint but I didn't do it myself (it was a gift). I don't know why but it's not a genre that I'm particularly keen on playing. But then my comic/graphic novel interest is quite narrow, if I'm honest* John T

'Clix (all of which may not be supers, proper) ~3K? ~4K? Metal/Plastic Superheroes – ~200 Converted Historicals – ~200 Superheroes converted to something else* – No freakin' clue … a few thousand more ----- * – Plus, how do I count that? If I put Werewolf by Night's head on one scifi figure and use the decapitated bodies for something else requiring ~1.5 bodies per figure and threw out the remainder, how many is that? |

None. Unless you count the Charlton Heston figure in my '55 Days at Peking' game. My friends jokingly complain that he's pert near invincible. But, c'mon, it's Charlton Heston we're talkin' about here. |

If Clix count, I have the Dark Knight Rises starter set. IIRC it was 6 figs, can't be arsed to check ATM. Otherwise, none and probably won't ever have any. Don't have too many painted minis in the 1st place. |
Narratio | 08 Jul 2016 9:52 p.m. PST |
If Heroclix then yes, 1000's. But I ran a "Champions" RPG back in the 80's and there are 50+ painted up metal miniatures that haven't seen the light of day in 30 years. |
Rogzombie | 09 Jul 2016 5:17 p.m. PST |
I have maybe 20-30 Superfigs I've painted and maybe a couple handfulls of clix. |

1 Thor. No other needed. One of the plastic ones released in the early 2000's |

Hmm. Somewhere around 200 Heroclix types, heroes and villains, almost all of which I repaint to some degree. I also convert some into other characters, original or otherwise. Some figures I've bought en masse to paint up as minions for lead characters (e.g., Daredevil is generic enough to be easily shaped into other guys). I've got the old Watchmen metal minis from Grenadier and the newer Heroclix Watchmen and some Watchmen characters converted from other sources when no original figure was available. (E.g., the original Night Owl I made from a Catman heroclix, and a Dollar Bill as well. I've made some great alternative Rorschachs by finding a suitable detective in a trenchcoat and trilby -- or fedora that can be cut down -- and then puttying over the face and neck to make a smooth head to paint as a blot-mask.) I've also got about a hundred metal castings from Crossover Miniatures, they turn out some fine stuff for Pulp, Sci-Fi, or Superhero games.
I haven't been able to get many of these guys on the tabletop yet, but their time is coming, either for RPGs or pulp-ish minis. I'm a vintage comics collector anyway and I'd have LOVED the Heroclix toys when I was a kid, why weren't they made decades earlier?? |
The Angry Piper | 11 Jul 2016 11:55 a.m. PST |
Hundreds if not thousands of Heroclix, about 50-100 of which I have rebased and repainted (with more every week). About a dozen Crossover miniatures that I haven't got around to painting (but are so cool). I have 3 complete DC Heroes Mayfair boxed sets, all unpainted at this time: 54mm Batman/Joker, The Justice League, and Watchmen. I have all 3 TSR Marvel Superheroes sets, mostly unpainted. Supers gaming is all I play nowadays, so I'm making the rebasing and repainting Clix project a priority for now. |
